Home Affairs and Agriculture Adviser Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd.), today (Nov 26) said none will be arrested in plain clothes.
He said: "No one can be arrested in plain clothes. If identification is requested, appropriate evidence must be provided. Arrests must be made with valid reasons."
He made the remarks at a meeting regarding the overall law and order situation at Sylhet Circuit House on Tuesday (November 26).
Jahangir Alam has expressed concerns over the rise of false cases, emphasizing that such cases must not be filed under any circumstances.
"If someone files a false case, they must be brought to justice," he stated.
He also stressed that no arrests should be made by individuals in plain clothes.
"If someone asks for identification, officers must provide appropriate evidence. No one can be arrested without a valid reason," Jahangir added.
