Adviser to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Md. Nahid Islam, said that the preliminary investigation report on the Secretariat fire is expected by Monday (Dec 30). 

He shared this update with reporters on Sunday (Decr 29), at around 1:45 PM in front of the Secretariat.

According to him, investigators have been given three days to prepare the initial report, which may reveal some details about the incident.

Nahid Islam at this time urged the public to remain calm and patient, promising that more information would be disclosed after the investigation.

When asked about the timeline for reopening the affected building, the adviser said it would be determined after reviewing the preliminary report.
