The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has lifted the ban on public gatherings in areas around the Turag River, Kamarpura in Tongi, Abdullahpur, and Uttara Sector 10.
The decision was announced in a public notice on Friday, signed by DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md Sajjat Ali.
The ban had been imposed on December 18 following deadly clashes between two factions of Tablighi Jamaat over control of the Bishwa Ijtema ground, which resulted in four deaths.
