CHITTAGONG: Police arrested two activists of banned Islamist outfit Hizb-ut-Tahrir while pasting posters at Badsha Mia road in the city Friday.

Arrested Anwar Parvez Shikdar, 22, and Mohammad Habibullah alias Habib alias Hafiz, 22, are the third year students of Electrical Engineering dept at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology.

Panchlaish thana Officer-in-Charge Nabojyoti Kheesa told banglanews24.com.bd the arrested were being interrogated.

Police would produce them before the court on Saturday with remand prayers.
