Dhaka: A woman was killed in a road accident in the city’s Farmgate area under Tejgaon thana on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Mahmuda Begum, 56.

Duty Officer of Tejgaon thana ASI Mohammad Lokman told banglanews24.com.bd a bus crashed into a motorcycle, on which Mahmuda and her son were riding, in front of Ananda Cinema Hall at about 9.45am, killing the woman on the spot.

However, Mahmuda’s son escaped unhurt in the accident.

The bus driver and helper fled the scene leaving behind their vehicle.

Police recovered the body and sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
