DHAKA: The sixth death anniversary of Awami League leader Ivy Rahman will be observed Tuesday.

Ivy Rahman, wife of President Zillur Rahman, was severely injured in the August 21 gruesome grenade attack on an AL rally in 2004 and died on August 24.

Ivy Rahman served as the Awami League Secretary for Women Affairs till her death.

Awami League leaders would pay their rich tribute to their late leader placing floral wreaths to her grave at the Banani graveyard at about 10:15am.

They would also take part in a Milad and Doa mahfil there.

Earlier, Awami League General Secretary Syed Ashraful Islam requested the party leaders and activists to pray for her departed soul attending the programme.
