RAJSHAHI: Two people were killed and 25 injured when a passenger bus plunged into a roadside ditch at Duari in Poba Upazila on Thursday morning.
 
Witnesses told banglanews24.com.bd that a Rajshahi-bound bus of Tithi Paribahan coming from Tanore upazila of the district skidded off the road as the driver lost control, leaving two people dead on the spot.

The bodies were sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) morgue.

Out of the 25 injured, 12 were admitted into the RMCH and the rest into local clinics.

OC Ramzan Ali of Poba Thana said at first locals started rescuing passengers from the bus. Later, firefighters rushed to the spot and joined the operation.
