COMILLA: Two suspected robbers were killed in a lynch-mob action at Noyakandi village in Chandina upazila early Sunday, police said.
Chandina thana OC Nurul Absar said identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Local inhabitant Ripon Ahmed said villagers hemmed in a gang lying in wait to commit a robbery at the house of Mostofa at about 2 am.

“The mob later managed to catch two of the bandits and beat them up indiscriminately, leaving them dead on the spot,” he said in a spot account of the lynching.
