A man was killed in a road accident in Katakhali area of Magura Sadar upazila on Wednesday (Dec 25) afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Naosher, 65, a resident of Sitarampur village in Magura Sadar, was cycling to his tea shop at Katakhali Bazar when a Jessore-bound pickup van ran him over, killing him on the spot, said Hannan Molya, a local businessman.

Magura Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Alamgir Kabir confirmed the matter.

The body was handed over to the family after completing legal formalities, he added.
