Metro rail's Mirpur-10 station opens

The metro rail has started picking up passengers from Mirpur-10 station, on Wednesday (March 1) morning.

Mirpur-10 station, the fifth station of the Dhaka metro rail, has started picking up and dropping off passengers this morning.

Earlier on December 28, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the country’s first ever elevated metro rail service in Dhaka.

She opened the 11.73 km part of the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Line-6 of the metro rail project from Diabari to Agargaon by unveiling its plaque at Diabari in the city.

Later, the Uttara centre station, the fourth station of the country's first-ever metro rail service, was opened on February 18. 

Besides, the Uttara to Agargaon segment of the nation's first metro rail was made accessible to the general public on December 29, 2022.

On January 25, the authorities also opened Mirpur's Pallabi station in the capital.
