Information and Broadcasting Adviser Md. Nahid Islam has issued a demi-official (DO) letter to secretaries, urging them to prevent unauthorized lobbying using his name in government offices.
In the letter, Nahid Islam expressed concern over certain individuals misusing his name or claiming to be his relatives to pursue personal gains or illegal advantages.
He said that such unethical practices are damaging his reputation.
The letter also underscored incidents where forged signatures of the adviser were used to submit applications with recommendations to various offices.
Nahid Islam requested authorities to disregard such applications and to immediately report any such cases to his Private Secretary (Deputy Secretary) R. H. M. Alaul Kabir.
Furthermore, the adviser emphasized the government’s commitment to addressing public expectations and implementing extensive reforms. He called for the cooperation of government officials and employees to ensure the effective execution of the interim administration’s initiatives.
